JASHIM - LITTLE VISIONS

Jashim is a non-binary Colombian multidisciplinary artist based in Montreal. They grew up in El Choko  in the native and Afro-Colombian communities, before immigrating to Canada in 2004.

Jashim’s work pursues the development of interactive technology and the creation of environments embedding cybernetic culture. In 2018 they were recruited by Ubisoft; to work on 17 AAA video games including, but not limited to; Avatar; Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin’s Creed, Helix, Ghost Recon, Tony Hawk’s series and the recent Star Wars Edition.

That same year, Jashim began to DJ, placing themselves in the new underground Latinx music scene of Montreal. They soon started producing their own music and in 2020 they debuted their first single titled Summer 19.

In early 2021, they released an EP titled “Cuando aprendí a Hablar” accompanied by a double-feature music video short film for the songs Summer 19 and They Used to Call me Anthony,  presented by ClubQuarantine among other artists such as Pelada and Isabella Lovestory. They started in 2023 their own parties in Puerto Escondido and played for BoilerRoom in Toronto, sharing the stage with Tayhana, Ms. nina, Toccororo, That Kid, Rosa Pistola, ZUTZUT, Jaijiu from NAAFI, kamixlo La Eterna and more.

Their goal for the future is to blend Immersive technologies with music, bringing her own unique narrative visuals into this new era of Reggaeton.
