Renee Mooi is a Mexican singer, songwriter and producer originally from Mexico City.
With a natural inclination towards musical exploration, Renee fuses genres such as Mexican folklore, jazz and progressive rock with urban pop, electronic, Latin and Middle Eastern music, incorporating pre-Hispanic sounds and instruments into her music, thus creating a versatile and authentic.
Her musical career began in the streets and bars of Mexico City. Her powerful and emotional voice quickly led her to travel the world and perform on the most important and emblematic stages in Mexico, such as the San Marcos Fair, Vive Latino, Bahidorá, Teatro de la Ciudad and the Zócalo of Mexico City.
In the independent scene, Renee has developed countless projects to strengthen the artistic community, which has led her to become a musical ambassador for MUXIC, the first Musical Tourism Office in Mexico, endorsed by the Mexican government. Renee works tirelessly to foster artistic connections between Mexico and the world.
Of North African, Indigenous Mexican and Spanish descent, Renee fuses her cultural heritage to create an authentic, ancient, wild and powerful musical experience.
Currently, she is immersed in the creation of her first album in Spanish.
